Description
For elongated products, such as carrots, sieve belts with square mesh rods are often used. The rods for these belts are manufactured from CrSi steel. Pins are then welded to the riveted rods to create a sieve belt with square or rectangular meshes.

Rod-to-rod measurement (Stokmaat)
To determine the correct width and configuration of the mesh rod, it is essential to know the accurate rod-to-rod measurement and specific dimensions. The rod-to-rod measurement is the distance between the two outermost rivet holes, measured center-to-center (C.T.C.). Furthermore, to determine the correct pin length, it is necessary to specify the pitch of the sieve belt. Additional properties, such as the diameter, the number of pins, and their positioning, can be determined in consultation. When ordering individual mesh rods, it is also important to specify the hole pitch at the ends of the riveted rod. Unless otherwise specified, the distance between the two holes at the ends is 20 mm for a 50 mm traction belt width. For traction belt widths of 60 mm or more, this distance is 32 mm. Deviations from these standards are available upon request, in which case the hole pitches can be set to 24 mm or 30 mm, respectively.
Choice of materials
CrSi Steel
As standard, our mesh rods are manufactured from CrSi steel. However, we can also produce the rods in AISI 304 or AISI 316 stainless steel. However, other materials can be applied in consultation, ensuring the final sieve belt perfectly matches your specific requirements.
Stainless Steel (RVS)
For applications in water or wet environments, stainless steel is frequently used. In this case, all metal components of the sieve belt will be executed in stainless steel. The rods and the fastening materials are then made of AISI 304 stainless steel. Upon request, the rods can also be manufactured from AISI 316 stainless steel. However, the fastening materials will remain in AISI 304 stainless steel. De evt. bevestiging op de middenriem kan bij RVS staven alleen d.m.v. middenbeugels. RVS staven zijn verkrijgbaar in 6, 8, 10 en 12mm.
